Family Photo Shoot...

Image
It was a pleasure to be asked by Scott & Steph to take photos of their special little lady Clara. We were their choice of photographer for their wedding earlier this year, and to be asked to take the first photos of them as a family was an honour. Love the little hint of a smile...  We are really looking forward to taking her 6 month and 1 year photos.

Maternity photo shoot - Haley & Karl..

Image
Earlier this year we were lucky enough to be the photographers at the wedding of Haley and Karl. Their wedding was magical and we had so much fun being part of their 'special day'. They have a quirky and fun sense of humour, so when we were asked to do their Maternity photos we decided that we had to keep that quirky and fun feel to their images... These two were just glowing through the whole session. We are so looking forward to their New Born session. xx

Bride of the Year 2014 charity event..

Image
We have been supporting this annual charity event for the past 4 years. Organised by local florists Designer Flowers the Bride of the Year is a great opportunity for brides to wear their wedding dresses again and at the same time raise money for Surf Lifesaving and for Bellyful ( an organisation that helps families and mums  who are in need of help before and after giving birth) both very deserving organisations. This year saw a total of 22 brides walk the catwalk in front of the judges and friends and family. The line of brides with organisers from Designer Flowers Winners with Heather and Nicky from Designer Flowers

Mums and 'bubs' ...

Image
Over the past few weeks we have had the pleasure to photograph the loveliest Mum and her gorgeous little girl... There is something about babies, especially when they are around the 5-6 month age group, that gets us all 'gooey' , how can you resist those sparkling eyes and toothless grins.. Not to mention the rolls on those legs and arms... Here are a few of the images that were taken..

The 'Tween' years - what are they exactly?

MUMS... So much can change in just one year. Don't forget to capture your 'TWEEN.' Don't we all just love those newborn photos when our kids are born, what about those 6 month, first year, first birthday party etc. We all go crazy about recording all those precious moments of their milestones (and rightly so), not to mention all those individual school photos. But what about that in-between age group, that age group that is no longer in the toddler, just starting school group and not at the Senior stage. The 'Tween' group. What is a 'Tween' and why it is so important to capture this age group (9 - 13years)? These years are the last years of childhood for your kids, before they become a teenager. The last years of your kids being just kids. They are often struggling with their self-esteem and finding where they belong. Friends are very important to this age group and they love to showcase their personality. It is amazing how much they change

Haley & Karl Wedding. - April 2014..

Image
What a gorgeous couple, with a fun, quirky sense of humour. We just love the journey we take with our couples. It is so important to have pre-wedding meetings as it helps us all get to know each other, and also gives us a chance to find out what they want to include in their images. Some couples have a set idea on what they want, and some are quite happy to leave it up to us, and that is how Haley & Karl were. They were  more than happy for us to get creative and put together images that were not your typical 'posed' type of images. As it was April, and we went with and Autumn theme, the day was gorgeous, and the light was just amazing... Love this sign that was on display at the reception, it sums up beautifully how quirky and fun these two are..

Sneak Peek Aylah-Rose ..

Last weekend we had the pleasure of taking photos of the sweetest little girl.  The first few months of her wee life have been full of hospital appointments, and she still has a bit of a journey ahead of her with regards to her health. She is so cute, it was hard to keep focussed and not pick her up and cuddle her.

Why not join a camera club - Angela

Are you just starting out on your photography journey ? Have you had your camera for a while and want to take your skills to the next level ? Then you should consider joining your local Camera Club. I joined our local Camera Club a few years ago and when I look back at the images I took back then, and what I do now there is such a huge difference. Being around like-minded people, seeing their images, getting to talk to talented, creative people who are only too pleased to share their experiences with you is priceless. Okay, it was a bit daunting to begin with,  actually it still is daunting, but not as bad as when I first joined the club. Having your work presented and judged by someone that you don't know and who doesn't know you is nerve racking. After all, this is your image, that you have an emotional attachment to, and the judge is looking it at with a totally different perspective. One of the biggest things I have learnt is not to take the judging too personally, tha

Scott & Stephanie Wedding...

Image
It is always such a privilege to be the photographers at weddings, and we do love being part of this special day. Scott & Steph's wedding was no exception,  from start to finish they were a delight. The venue for the wedding was at Scott's parents farm and the gardens looked amazing, the weather was perfect and made for lots of fun shots around the farm. Steph was so calm throughout the morning , it wasn't until she was putting her dress on that she realised that she was on her way to get married and shed a few tears. The bridal party photos were taken around the farm, and included a picnic with the VW Beetle and Kombi Van in attendance.
