The 'Tween' years - what are they exactly?

MUMS... So much can change in just one year. Don't forget to capture your 'TWEEN.'

Don't we all just love those newborn photos when our kids are born, what about those 6 month, first year, first birthday party etc. We all go crazy about recording all those precious moments of their milestones (and rightly so), not to mention all those individual school photos.

But what about that in-between age group, that age group that is no longer in the toddler, just starting school group and not at the Senior stage. The 'Tween' group.

What is a 'Tween' and why it is so important to capture this age group (9 - 13years)?

These years are the last years of childhood for your kids, before they become a teenager.
The last years of your kids being just kids. They are often struggling with their self-esteem and finding where they belong. Friends are very important to this age group and they love to showcase their personality.

It is amazing how much they change in their looks and personalities over the course of a year.

Earlier this year we had the pleasure of photographing Amy, during the Summer months before she started her first year at High School. In June we photographed her again and the difference in her maturity over a this time is amazing.
