What a great afternoon at Amy & Ricks wedding. A small intimate wedding with close family and friends held in the garden at their home. The weather gods were very kind to us and the bad weather held off just long enough to get the ceremony completed and the bridal photos done. These two have known each other since their High School days and it was lovely to see just how much they love each other.

What an amazing milestone. Sixty years of marriage, and childhood sweethearts. The met when Alison was still at school, in fact they got engaged while she was at high school and she wore her engagement ring on a chain around her neck. Her parents did not even know, and it was quite sometime before they plucked up enough courage to tell them. Surrounded by family and friends they had a great afternoon celebrating an amazing milestone.. I loved they that had their wedding photos on display, along with the original horseshoe. What a great way to create new memories...  This is the bridal party ,how cool that they were able to join in the celebration.

As a photographer we rely on using our images to promote our business on social media. Every now and then we get a client who is not happy to have their images used for promotional purposes. It is so important to acknowledge their wishes , no matter how much you want to share the amazing photos that were taken to celebrate their special day, no matter how breathtaking the images are, how emotional and fun. we must respect these wishes. The image below is the only image that we are able to use from Leonie & Shane's wedding. It was a small intimate wedding, with close family and friends. A wonderful afternoon of fun and laughter. Any hopes of a beach ceremony and photos taken on a balmy summer afternoon were shattered when Cyclone Debbie arrived a few hours before the wedding ceremony.. Leonie & Shane had put some contingency plans in place a few days before and had changed the ceremony to be inside at a local hotel, this didn't stop the guests from having a grea

Being asked to take newborn photos of this little guy was such a privilege. We were the wedding photographers at mum and dad's wedding, took their maternity photos their first born arrived , and then did the  new born photos for their little girl.  We really feel a part of this little family and just love capturing their memories for them..

My friend and colleague asked me to take newborn photos of her beautiful wee boy, I would not call myself a Newborn Photographer at all, but Nats was happy to have images of Jack that showed him as he was 10days after being born.. This little fella was not that fussed on sleeping at all, but we managed to get some really lovely shots.. Love those wrinkly toes...... Nothing quite like those chubby, bubby arms and that downey newborn fuzz...

It is always huge thrill to find that you have clients that come back for you to photograph their journey as a family.  We first met Haley and Karl when we were lucky enough to be asked to photograph their wedding aa few years ago, and then again for the maternity photos for there first born, and not long after new born photos for Leena. When they made contact for a Maternity combined family shoot we were very excited. These guys are awesome, they never want to know what they are going to have, preferring to leave it as a complete surprise.

Carina wanted images that would give her some  self-confidence and make her feel beautiful. I called this the 'I am beautiful ' shoot as I know that when she saw the final images she was very happy with them and they certainly made her feel beautiful. Some of the images taken were for her eyes only, but a few that we took were for her to enjoy on her face book page with friends and family. Carina is one of the loveliest people I have had the pleasure to meet, she is totally  gorgeous and has the cheekiest smile and  an amazing personality.. I felt an immediate connection with her and once we discussed what her expectations were we had a fun filled time.

What an awesome couple, we had previously had an engagement shoot with these guys as part of their wedding package. This is such a great idea as it gets the couple used to the photographers style and gives the photographer an idea on how the couple interact with each other. The ceremony was held on the clifftops at Castaways overlooking the west coast beach of Karioitahi , south of Auckland...
